The vast bulk of visible mass emerges from nonperturbative dynamics within quantum chromodynamics—the strong interaction sector the Standard Model. past decade has revealed three pillars that support this emergent hadron (EHM); namely, a nonzero gluon mass-scale, process-independent effective charge, and dressed-quarks with constituent-like masses. Theory is now working to expose their manifold diverse expressions in observables highlighting types measurements can be made order validate paradigm. In sketching some these developments, discussion stresses role EHM forming nucleon electroweak structure wave functions excited baryons through generation dynamical diquark correlations; producing constraining dilation leading-twist pion distribution amplitude; shaping parton functions—valence, glue sea, including asymmetry antimatter; moulding proton charge distributions.
